RRB NTPC Selection Process 2024

The RRB NTPC 2024 selection process is designed to thoroughly evaluate candidates’ skills in multiple steps. Here’s what you need to clear to land that dream job

• Computer Based Test (CBT) 1 : This is the initial screening test.

• CBT 2 : More detailed test for shortlisted candidates.

RRB NTPC identifies normalization process

RRB uses a normalization process to ensure fairness across different test sessions. This is particularly important as CBTs are conducted in multiple shifts over several days. The normalization process considers

Eligibility Criteria of RRB Technician Recruitment

#Age Limit :  Category-wise age limit is as under.

# Technician Grade-I Signal :  Candidates age must be between 18 to 36 years as 1st July 2024.

# Technician Grade-III :  Candidates age must be between 18 to 33 years as 1st July 2024.
 
#Age Relaxation :  The relaxation of upper age limit for reserved categories are as follows: 

Educational Qualification:

Technician Grade-1 Signals:

a) Graduation in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute or B.Sc. with a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute.

(or)

b) Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or combination of any of the above basic streams

(or)

Degree in Engineering from the above basic streams or a combination of any of the above basic streams.

Technician Grade-III:

Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from a recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in the trade mentioned in the official notification.

(or)

Law Apprentice with Matriculation/ SSLC plus course in above mentioned trade.

Technician (Workshop & Production Unit):

Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in relevant trade.

(or)

Matriculation / SSLC plus course completed Law Apprenticeship in relevant trade.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2024

For RRB NTPC 2024, the pattern of CBT 1 is as follows : –

• Total Questions: 100
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Category: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness

CBT 2 follows a similar pattern but with more questions and a higher difficulty level. During preparation, gradually increase the difficulty level of your practice questions to prepare for both CBT 1 and CBT 2.

Each section carries equal importance, so it is important to prepare thoroughly for all areas. Questions are multiple-choice, and there is negative marking for wrong answers in RRB NTPC Recruitment Exam.
