APSC Recruitment 2024 – Apply for 3 Junior Legislative Counsel, Under Secretary & Other Posts

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released a recruitment notification for the recruitment of 3 Junior Legislative Counsel, Under Secretary and Legal Assistant posts under Legislative Department and Judicial Department of Government of Assam. Specific posts include Junior Legislative Counsel and Under Secretary, Legal Assistant and Under Secretary to the Legal Remembrancer and Under Secretary to the Government of Assam. Eligibility for APSC Recruitment  2024

1. Junior Legislative Counsel and Under Secretary

3. Under Secretary

• Scale of Pay :  Pay scale: Rs.30,000/- to 1,10,000/- and Grade Pay: Rs.12,700/-

• Age Limit :  The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2024.

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications.

• A candidate must be an advocate enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 who has been practicing for at least 3 years. or

• A judicial officer of at least 3 (three) years’ standing. or

• A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department who holds a degree in Law and has 3 (three) years of experience as such officer or 2 (two) years of experience as such officer if he has at least 3 years of previous experience as an advocate. (Three years. Or

• A Language Officer in the Legislative Department who holds a degree in Law and has 5 (five) years of experience as such officer or 2 (two) years of experience as such Language Officer if he has at least 4 (assumed) prior experience as an advocate. . Four years.

Other Criteria for APSC Recruitment

Candidates must be citizens of India as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

• Candidate should be permanent resident of Assam.
• Candidate should produce PRC issued in Assam for Educational Purposes/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residence along with the application form.

Category wise age relaxation is mentioned below.

• SC: 5 years
• ST: 5 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

Candidates must be registered with any Employment Exchange in Assam.

: Candidates are required to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A while applying for the post.
