“Fire tenders along with firefighting teams have reached the spot,” PTI quoted a police spokesperson as saying. The incident was reported from Sector 67 B-Block
Visuals shared by the news agency show a building engulfed in smoke. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
On June 3, a fire broke out due to a short circuit in the air-conditioning system of a private company in Noida.
The fire broke out on the ground floor and second floor of a garment manufacturing company named KM Leasing Limited located in Sector 10. An LPG cylinder also exploded on the third floor of the building and the fire was being extinguished.
No civilians or firefighters were injured in the incident and both fires were safely extinguished.
In a similar incident, an IT company in Noida’s Sector 63 caught fire on June 1 due to an explosion in the indoor unit of an air conditioner, according to PTI.
An “AC explosion” generally refers to an explosion or fire involving an air conditioning (AC) unit. According to officials, such incidents can occur due to various factors, often related to electrical or mechanical malfunctions.
Officials have urged the general public not to run their ACs for long periods of time to avoid any accidents during the extremely hot weather.
